Jennifer KraneI fell in love with journalistic writing the moment I started. I was first published as a senior staff writer in my high school paper, The Knight Errant. I wrote Art & Entertainment pieces focusing on music and film and started a film review podcast. For my willingness to pursue stories outside of the halls of my high school and explore storytelling through multiple media, I was awarded Writer of the Year by my journalism advisor.

Since I’ve been at Drake University, I have been published in the student newspaper, The Times Delphic, and had a feature published in the student-run magazine, Drake Magazine.

Last academic school year, I was a three section editor and writer for a student-run magazine, The Annual. I also worked in the University Communications office as an editorial intern, and produced content for both print and online outlets.

This school year, I am the editor-in-chief of the The Annual and work as an apprentice at Midwest Living, a publication part of Meredith Corporation.
